Achieving The Perfect Golf Swing Drill

The perfect golf swing drill is a joy to behold. And yet it is not too hard to achieve.

The perfect golf swing drill starts with a proper back swing with the golf club swung right back to the limit of your body. At this segment of the perfect golf swing drill your mind should be preparing for the rotation of your body and the arm extension.

Next, the movements of the perfect golf swing drill moves to the down swing, which starts with the lower part of the body, including the legs and hips. A transfer of weight will take place from back to front with the knees, thighs and hips all moving forward.

The perfect golf swing drill ends with the body weight on the outside of the front heel and the inside of the rear foot.

The perfect golf swing drill is easy when your body is prepared and conditioned to achieve it. However the perfect golf swing drill can be very difficult for a golfer not involved in any golf specific exercise designed to condition and prepare their muscles and body in general for the strain and pressure that golf usually brings.

Most professionals take their golf-specific exercises very seriously, but some amateurs are reluctant to let go of the so-called good old days when exercise had no role in the leisure sport of golf. Still they are finding the going increasingly difficult as more and more golfers embrace golf exercise programs.

There is no doubt that the perfect golf swing drill happens only with those whose muscles and bodies have been prepared.

Watch The Ball!

This phrase is often repeated in nearly every sport – keep your eye on the ball. It applies to golf too! If you do not watch the ball, then the chance that you will hit it is very slim!

Keep your eyes focused on one part of the ball. Don’t watch your club as you swing.

Keep your focus on the ball and let everything else fade into the background.

Try to look down on the ball, rather than watching it at the end of the golf club. Raising your shoulders is not going to help you see the ball more clearly. If you will look down on the ball, you will get results that are more successful and you will not have a tendency to look up before the end of your swing.

Unfortunately, it is completely natural to look away when you begin to pull the club back. Ignore the natural feeling and keep your eyes on the ball.

When you are looking down at the ball, you should notice that the only way you can keep the club head in the correct line of flight is to keep your hands moving parallel to the flight line. Keep your hands in line with the club head when making contact with the ball.

It is very important to learn to watch the ball no matter what kind of shot you need to make. It does not matter if the ball is in the long grass, the sand trap, on a slope, or anywhere else, the main thing is to see the ball completely so that you can hit it solidly and successfully.

There are not many golfers who stand still and keep their attention on the ball. Many times, people will look at where they want the ball to go and then look at the ball. Most golfers would be surprised to learn that they do not stand still and watch the ball. The instant that you take your eye off the ball, you begin having problems.

Most golf mistakes are a result of a loss of concentration. It you keep your focus on the ball, you will be able to hit the ball well.

To help your golf game, remind yourself to keep your eye on the ball for the entire swing. You will find your golf game improving so much that your friends may be asking you for advice!

Fitness For Golf Is A Must For Senior Golfers

Fitness for golf is a common term and senior golfers are getting the gist of it. The secret is out. Fitness for golf has come full circle and all the players on the senior tour and senior amateurs are taking notice.

With the senior golfer comes a rapid decline in physical ability. The golf swing is a physically abusive movement to the human body…unless you take the time to prepare for it.

I have worked with thousands of senior golfers through my online golf fitness programs, and the results are dramatic. Just picture it. If you are in this demographic and your starting point is below average…you have the biggest chance to see HUGE results.

How many times have you walked off the course or practice range with a twinge or two in your body? How about when you got home? Did it get worse?

What’s that tell you?

I hope you realize how important fitness for golf is, not only helping you prevent injury, but utilize your true potential to it’s fullest.

Doesn’t it make sense as you get older, to improve your flexibility AND strength to hit longer drives that go straighter? Don’t you want to slow down the ‘aging process?’

I have played with dozens of older golfers who are so frustrated at this rapid decline, but don’t know what to do. They walk off the course in disgust.

I’m here to tell you it doesn’t have to be that way!

Don’t look at it as “work”, “sweating” or “effort”. Look at it as “playing your best game ever!”

It doesn’t take a lot of work. You don’t have to join a gym and put 3 hours in a day to see results. All it takes is 30 minutes 2-3 times a week. You can do that can’t you?

Fitness for golf is the approach that will literally transform your game!

Golf Equipment Isn't Working

Golf equipment doesn't work? Did that catch your attention? I hope so. Now keep reading.

Just the other day I was watching the Golf Channel and they were talking yet again about the latest and greatest drives and irons. This golf equipment (new technology) that has gotten totally out of hand, is making these companies a ton of money.

Why?

Because they prey on vulnerable, frustrated golfers looking to play better through golf equipment.

Here’s my beef!

It’s not working! I don’t care what these companies say…I see golfers everyday, buying new golf equipment and STILL not playing any better. It’s a known fact that the average golf handicap has not gone down in over 20 years!

It’s NOT the equipment that’s going to improve your game…it’s YOU!

You swing that club. You show up to the range or course. It all depends on your current physical condition how well you will swing…and especially for 18 holes.

Is that registering with you yet?

How many new clubs have you bought lately? Did it allow you to play better…consistently? Be honest. Don’t let your pride answer that question. Just state the facts. Are your scores lower? Do you swing with better consistency?

These are questions to constantly ask yourself to make sure you are seeing progress. If you’re not…then save your money and get working on YOU!

It’s always fun to see the new golf equipment that’s coming out…but your game is dependant on your physical capabilities, not compensations with golf equipment.

Ping Wedges

Ping has been providing both serious and recreational golfers with golf products of incredible performance and quality for a long time. Their wedges are made with the same care and attention as their irons, drivers and putters. Wedges are clubs that are specially designed and modified for the short game, it is all well and good that you can drive great distances from the tee, but this will not help your short game. The loft of a wedge and the groves on the face of the club both work together to produce a spin rate. The loft of a wedge is a way of measuring the angle at which the club hits the ball, which determines the trajectory of the ball and the amount of roll it produces.

Ping has created some incredible wedges and Golf Buy It Online currently stocks a wide selection of Ping Wedges. This range includes Ping Golf Tour-W Steel Wedges, Ping Golf Tour Wedges and Ping Golf iWedges as well as many more. The Tour-W Steel Wedges are designed to increase the moment-of-inertia for forgiveness and will benefit golfers who seek a high-performing, versatile option around the green and from the sand. Ping’s Tour Wedges offer increased versatility and higher spin rates and have minimal offset, making it easy to for the golfer to align the clubface. Ping Golf iWedges include superior technology that enables the wedge to get under the ball quickly in the sand or on turf and prevents digging.
